System measurement
Frequency response, phase, and arrival-time measurements to understand how the loudspeakers interact with each other and the listening space.
Get your loudspeakers working together. Sound system measurement, alignment, and DSP tuning for clearer sound, tighter bass, and more consistent coverage.
CONCEPTUAL ILLUSTRATION · NOT A PROJECT MEASUREMENT
If the bass feels uneven, the tops sound disconnected, or the room changes dramatically from spot to spot, start with the system—not another guess at the EQ.
Frequency response, phase, and arrival-time measurements to understand how the loudspeakers interact with each other and the listening space.
Evaluate placement, polarity, and delay to improve summation across your subwoofer array and its integration with the mains.
Check crossover integration, relative levels, delay, and EQ. Make adjustments based on measured behavior and listening.
Assess speaker positioning and aiming. Align delay speakers with the mains and check how the result changes through the audience area.
Trace routing, gain structure, amplifier settings, and channel assignments to find problems before tuning around them.
On-site support for installed systems and temporary rigs, with practical adjustments shaped by your room, equipment, and event.
A deliberate process, from the signal path to the listening area. The goal is a system that works together where your audience actually stands.
Discuss the problem, inspect placement and routing, and establish a baseline.
Measure individual sources and combinations from positions selected for the task.
Work through placement, polarity, timing, levels, crossover integration, and EQ.
Remeasure, compare positions, and listen to music before reviewing the final settings.
I’m Mathew Bagshaw, an audio systems engineer with hands-on experience providing and operating sound systems since around 2010.
My background combines live sound, event production, DJ performance, and system measurement. I understand what a system needs to deliver when the room fills up and the music starts.
Based in the San Fernando Valley, I work with venue owners, system providers, and event producers across Southern California.
Describe your room, your equipment, and what you’re hearing. Create a short project brief to start planning a tuning session.
